We can now confirm that the reward for information about Alex has been published in the national Panamanian press www.prensa.com, on TV and radio. Having said that, there has been no response so far.
This has meant that the National Police, Sinaproc and the head of the justice department have had to start taking positive action again.
I believe all this is largely because the Greater Manchester Police have taken such a leading role. They helped pay for the posters and radio slots, and they are sending two officers to Panama in the next week or so, to help deal with any leads that come from the reward and to try to fill in some of the gaps in the investigation. As a family we are very grateful to them.
I’m not convinced that all this is going to actually find Alex, but we will always know that everyone pulled out all the stops to help us try.
I’ll let you know what happens.
